HIRE AN APPRENTICE PROGRAM NOW OPENS FOR HOSPITALITY SERVICES SECTOR

We are pleased to invite your participation in the NEW APPRENTICESHIP SCHEME which offers more benefits for successful employers.  Apprenticeship scheme is managed by Human Resources Development Council (PSMB) and is geared to increase the supply of skilled workers for your business and allow you to be actively involved.     The training concept offers a combination of theoretical and practical training at Ethos Academy of Skills Development with an emphasis on ‘on-the-job’ training at the premises of sponsoring employers to reinforce the theoretical concepts learnt.

The Apprenticeship scheme training ranges from 14 weeks to 6 months depending upon the type of courses selected: 

1.       Food & Beverage Service             2.       Front Desk Reception                        

  • Sponsoring employers are eligible for the following:      

    Training fees incurred will be fully paid by PSMB and the successful apprentices will be given a monthly allowance of RM350.00 per month throughout the training duration.
            
    During on the job training, PSMB offers full 100% sponsorship of training allowance during theoretical and on the job training at sponsored company premises up to a maximum of 2 apprentices per employer contributor.
     
    From the 3rd apprentice onwards, PSMB will sponsor the training allowance during theoretical training whilst the allowance during on the job training shall be fully and directly reimbursed from HRD Fund account of the employer.
    Marketing, selection, registration of apprentices and administration tasks shall be undertaken by Ethos Academy & PSMB. 
    Interviews of apprentice shall be arranged for sponsoring employers after the program has commenced depending upon the number of apprentices the companies undertake to engage for on the job training at their premises.
    No EPF and basic salary for apprentices are applicable during the training duration allowing cost effective use of manpower.
    Sponsoring employers are eligible to claim financial assistance at the rate of 100% of the allowable costs, (apprentices’ monthly allowances, SOCSO insurance coverage and training consumables, if applicable).
    Upon the successful completion of training, apprentices will be awarded the Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 1 and 2 by the Department of Skills Development and Apprenticeship Certificates issued by PSMB. 

Sponsoring employers may offer the apprentices full time employment contracts of minimum one year employment duration for effective management of turnover and to increase the number of trained employees serving in their organization.
